A TV Show!

Decided to go through an old folder last night and found notes to a script that I've been working on for a few years. It's in a television show format. I already had the first episode written on my computer. The five bright index cards in the photo are actually my notes for the first five episodes.

Today I've begin writing episode two, I also worked on some side notes.

I find using index cards really help me put my ideas together, they are easy to work with.

The set takes places on a college campus, it makes me laugh looking at my notes because I made a map of the school, but for some reason when I have thing's like that plus some background information written up about the characters, I find it easier to get into the mind frame to write!

The Numbers, Frank...continued.

Been working on the next short script for "The Numbers, Frank". The first one was just a project my sister created to try out for an acting role, but we brainstormed a bit and thought of a way to expand and continue with the project.

If you haven't already seen the first one, click here.

We are really hoping to expand and improve on the next one. Right now I just finished up writing the next short, but it needs to be approved by my sister Jennifer before we can continue.

After all the details are worked out and the script is good to go we will be filming in early May, so you can expect to see the next one then!

The Numbers, Frank.....

Hey Everyone!

Over this past weekend on Saturday night my sister, boyfriend, and myself worked together and filmed a short sketch. My sister and boyfriend acted in the sketch and I got to work behind the camera. It was a lot of fun.

My role was to work with the boom mic, which was fun to do, but hard, I have no upper body strength and will have to start working on that when I hit up the gym this week!

I also designed the set, selecting and setting up some little props to give the actors stuff to work with, :)

Filming took us around an hour, and then there was importing the videos, and the camera that my boyfriend was using ran into some errors, that we are all hoping can be easily fixed! PLEASE KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!!!!

After all my editing, we ended up making a two and a half minute sketch! It took me a few hours but the video is finally up on my youtube page for all to enjoy, I will post it on here as well!

Hope you all like the sketch, please subscribe to the different links posted at the end credits, thanks so much!

The Curse Of The Pirate

Filmed a new stop motion short today, I feel like I've gotten better with the moment/timing. One day I hope to create on that is five minutes long and really cool looking! For now I just have this, click here for my youtube page!

Enjoy and feel free to leave comments, subscribe, befriend on my youtube page!

A long time now...

So, I've been working on this script, for as long as I can remember. I even brought it with me when I attended Gotham Writers workshops in the past, my classmates would read a section aloud and critique it. They all seemed to be interested in it, some excited to see what would happen next. Except after the class I got involved working all the time and left it to the side. Every now and then I'd think of little details, or edit a scene.

The past two weeks I've really gotten back into working on this script, so much that I pulled out old hand written scenes and notes, and I saw that one page was dated, 09/02/04...I've been working on this script for almost seven years, a good six years.

Maybe one day I will share a scene on here!

Create Anywhere & Animation Story

Been working on a concept for an animation piece the past few months. Have a few pages written and some scribbled drawings. I am going to include a photo of a car dashboard that I used as my desk, my sister was on a job interview and I went for the drive, as I waited in the car I was inspired to write. I went to the local store and bought pink notepad paper that was a dollar for the pack, and created a few scenes and silly sketches.

Excerpt From My Script, On Warwick Road

So, yesterday I decided to sit down and work on a short script I started last summer. Last time I worked on it I left it off on Scene 16. After spending MANY hours rereading and adding on, developing characters and ideas, I now leave it at Scene 52. The script is like 89% finished. I just need to add in a few finishing scenes and all my camera shots.

The script is called "On Warwick Road", last summer I was in my mother's house in PA, and I was home alone for a day or two and I thought up the idea of writing about a teenage girl whose mother has to go out of town leaving her all alone in the house. During this time there is a famous robber, known as the Warwick Robber, who breaks into homes doing what robbers do, etc. But there is a twist and I am trying to make this short film on the fun side even though the character has to go through some scary moments!

Below I am posting a scene from my script, it has a few camera notes, but it needs to be polished. Hope you enjoy!

The phone beeps, it's call waiting.

AMANDA
Oh, hang on a second, I've got another call.

JESS (V.O.)
Hurry back, I want to know how hot he looked.
Amanda laughs and clicks to the next call.

AMANDA
Hello?

MOTHER (v.o.)
Hi sweetheart, I got caught in a bit of traffic, but I'm almost at the hospital. Aunt Shell is moment's away from delivery, I hope I miss it.

AMANDA
Don't you mean, you hope you don't miss it.

MOTHER (V.O.)
Oh honey, this woman acted like she was being murdered when she has her wisdom teeth pulled. I can only imagine how she is going to react in having to push a baby out of her! Well anyways, just wanted to give you an update. Everything okay there? No wild parties planned or boys coming over?

AMANDA
Yeah, everything's fine, no parties, no boys. I promise.

MOTHER (V.O.)
Okay, I have to go, there is a cop on the highway! Love you!

AMANDA
Bye mom.

Amanda clicks the phone back to her other call.

AMANDA
Sorry, that was my mom. "Just checking in".

JESS (V.O.)
It's cool. So, what the hell are you even going to do tonight?

AMANDA
Catch up on bio. Maybe watch a dvd.

JESS (V.O.)
Wow, boring!

AMANDA
And what are you doing that's so exciting?

JESS (V.O.)
The very same thing!

Amanda and Jess share a laugh.
ZOOMS OUT: the camera pulls back and amanda's voice slowly get's lower. it goes back to the dining room, out to the backyard.

EXT. AMANDA'S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

JESS (V.O.)
Are you nervous being there alone?

AMANDA (V.O)
Why would I be?

JESS (V.O.)
Well, no one is there, your near the woods, great makings for a scary movie!

AMANDA (V.O)
You watch too many movies!

As the camera pulls back through the backyard, we no longer hear Amanda. But now we hear something else, a heart beating. A breath speeding up. The camera pulls back again and stops as we see from behind a person standing in the woods facing Amanda's house.

INT. Dining room - Moments later

MONTAGE: Amanda sits on a bar stool at the island counter, with a text book opened, she is working on her assignment. She appears bored, tapping her pen around. next we see her singing into her highlighter, music is blasting, and she is dancing a little in her living room. she watches t.v., gets up and takes her pill with some water in the kitchen, before returning back to her spot on the couch. She falls asleep.
